Bobby Scott (Keyboard, Synth)

Bobby is the newest member of Moose and the High Tops, joining in the Spring of 2018. He joins the group with a background of over twenty years in the music world. Bobby started taking piano lessons at the age of seven, where he initially took lessons alongside his mother. After his mother realized that she  wasn’t able to devote as much time, he moved on to individual private lessons through the remainder of grade school and college. Bobby graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst where he studied Music Performance with a concentration in classical piano and percussion. There, Bobby was not only a member of the UMass Marching Band’s world-class percussion section, wind ensemble, orchestra, and numerous small ensembles, but he was a roommate of High Tops drummer, Chris “CJ” Messier.

Since college, Bobby has been performing solo and with groups around the country. In 2017, he started his own music composition and consulting business named Mayflower Percussion. He and his co-owner Alex work to design and consult with marching bands around the country to create effective shows for their fall and winter seasons. Currently, Bobby lives in East Longmeadow with his wonderful wife, Iris, and dog, Zoe.

Bobby has always been inspired by artists like Michael Jackson, EWF, Stevie Wonder, Toto, Dream Theater, Led Zeppelin, and Tool. His favorite musicians to tickle the ivories include Anomalie, Greg Phillinganes, David Paich, Robert Glasper, Corey Henry, and Herbie Hancock.
